Tomorrow is filing day! So my candidacy becomes official then. I am looking forward to the experience and the opportunity. Tuesday is council meeting night -I hope to see some of you there!
Welcome to what I hope you will come to think of as “our” blog. A place where we can voice our ideas and concerns about the town of Steilacoom and to constructively discuss the issues facing our local government. I am new to this technology, so I hope you will bear with me as I learn to use the tools that are available as part of this blog. The goal for me in this forum is to create the venue for these discussions and to gain a broader sense of your perspectives. I hope that you will find this to be a place to have your voice heard.
So let’s get started. Recent issues before the council include EMS response times, a study session on a new community center and related services, and a study session on whether the town should purchase its own electrical substation. Some of you have attended the meetings and study sessions, many of you have not or could not. What are your thoughts, concerns, questions?
